Introduction to the Workshop Series

What does it mean to be sexually empowered women? Is it just about enjoying sex and reaching the heights of physical pleasure?

Most women imagine sexuality as something confined to the bedroom, but as a tantric yoga teacher and sexuality researcher, I’m here to show you that women’s sexuality encompasses the fundamental way women engage the six senses (taste, touch, smell, hearing, sight, AND intuition) to nourish their souls.

So many women are disconnected from their bodies due to being exposed to incessant forms of objectification, sexual harassment and violence in the media. The first step to reclaiming your body from this patriarchal and sexist cultural programming is to reconnect with your bodily senses and really allow yourself to feel your body, fully. Take your body back and free it from the pressures to look, move, and take up space in order to PLEASE OTHERS.

When you take your power back, you awaken your sacred sensuality. You expand the realm of erotic pleasure to include the joy you feel when you are being creative--whenever you write poetry, cook a fabulous meal, paint, sing, and dance. Such intentional and conscious experiences of the senses allow you to connect to the creative source of your life: your erotic power and endless capacity to create a better world.

Getting connected to your body is a sacred act of union with yourself, and it is only when this connection is firmly established that your life purpose will begin to gain clarity and deliver a continual supply of ecstatic joy and fulfillment.
